Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 6% Mandelic Acid and 2% Lactic Acid Liquid Exfoliant

The
Paula's Choice 6% Mandelic & 2% Lactic Acid Exfoliant is a gentle,
daily-use AHA product for smoothing texture, brightening, and tackling
discoloration, suitable for sensitive skin and first-time AHA users,
working best when layered with moisturizers and SPF but can
be alternated with BHA exfoliants (like the PC 2% BHA) for combined
benefits, used on alternate days or different times of day to avoid
over-exfoliation.Key Benefits & Features

• Gentle Exfoliation:
Combines larger-molecule mandelic acid with time-released lactic acid
for effective yet mild resurfacing, minimizing irritation.
• Targets Multiple Concerns: Addresses dullness, uneven tone, dark spots, fine lines, and texture.
• Supports Skin Health:
Contains yarrow extract and fermented antioxidants (cherry blossom,
chocolate vine, yumberry) to support the skin's microbiome and barrier.
• Suitable for Sensitive Skin: Gentle enough for rosacea-prone, sensitive, or dry skin types.

How to Integrate It

1. Start Slowly: Introduce it gradually (every other day) if new to chemical exfoliants, then build up to daily use as skin adjusts.
2. Morning or Night:
Can be used AM or PM, but always follow with a broad-spectrum SPF 30+
sunscreen during the day due to increased sun sensitivity.
3. Layering with Other Exfoliants (BHA):Alternate Days: Use this AHA one day and a BHA (like Paula's Choice 2% BHA) the next.AM/PM Split: Use the AHA in the morning and BHA at night (or vice versa).Avoid Same Time: Applying both simultaneously can be too much for most.
4. Product Order:
Apply after cleansing and toning, then layer serums, treatments,
moisturizers, and SPF in order of thinnest to thickest consistency.
